Nevada doesn't allow it's insureds to have underinsured coverage. There is uninsured coverage however no underinsured coverage, so if someone isn't driving with enough insurance and that person hits you, you are basically SOL which is why rates can get really expensive. This limits your options and forces you to find ways to better your situation with shopping for insurance companies. You need to be shopping and sometimes with the volatility and growth of Las Vegas there's no way of know what your rates are going to be on any given day. Companies like Nationwide, Safeco, Allstate, and more are not always going to be your best options given Nevada's ever-changing rates. Go with an independent broker that can get you a qualified quote with Nevada's top insurance companies.
