L'attesissimo JRPG Atlus fa esattamente ciò che ci piace vedere dagli sviluppatori giapponesi, ossia infischiarsene delle sirene provenienti dall'esterno dedicandosi totalmente a ciò che vogliono davvero fare. SMT V è complesso, punitivo, esige attenzione verso i suoi sistemi. Ma dietro questi strati funzionali ci sono le rovine di una Tokyo sospesa tra splendore digitale e apocalittica aridità, sorprendentemente verticale ed esplorabile, oscura ma in qualche modo sensuale.
The long awaited JRPG by Atlus does exactly what we like to see from Japanese developers, that is disregarding any sirens from the outside and devoting themselves fully to what they actually want to do. SMT V is complex, punishing, it demands attention to its systems. Behind the functional layers, though, lie the ruins of a Tokyo suspended between digital splendour and apocalyptic aridity, surprisingly vertical and explorable, shadowy and yet somehow sensual.
